EVE (/iːv/) is a software developed and marketed exclusively by IS.Retail, designed to manage all physical movement of goods, operators (human resources) and mechanical means within a logistics platform, from reception to dispatch.
The concept of Extended Value stems from combining a backend component resulting from more than 20 years of experience with a completely new frontend, where priority is given to the user experience, making use of the OpenUI5 User Interface and applying the main concepts of User Experience (UX) around four vectors: minimalism, agility, organic, and fun.
In order to maintain strict control of all tasks performed in a logistics operation and to facilitate communication between users and the application, EVE uses various technologies, namely barcode scanning (of all types, including EAN 128UCC and QR Codes), mobile terminals, RFID tag scanning and voice recognition terminals.

Complete coverage of functionalities, from planning the receiving dock against the supplier delivery timetable, goods check by truck, separating and unloading goods, different types of control over expiration dates, automatic search for locations for received goods and total flexibility for defining the different elements of traceability collection.
Integration of different levels of ASN messages, from cross-docking of multi-item pallets to DESADV messages (and respective RECADV response), with the contents of each pallet, including traceability data, in accordance with GS1 standards.

EVE supports diverse execution methodologies such as Picking By Stock (PBS), Picking By Line (PBL), mixed regimes (Two Step Distribution) and cross-docking for both full and multi-item pallets. It also enables batch picking for multiple customers, ideal for e-commerce.
It offers advanced stock movement management (FIFO, LIFO, FEFO, and validity-based criteria), automatic replenishment synchronization for fixed picking locations and smart task assignment with interleaving to reduce travel time. Additionally, it handles labeling, security seals for high-value items, and item-level picking instructions.

Pre-packing functionality prior to execution, with optimization of the type of packaging to be used, such as Euro pallets, industrial pallets, half pallets, cold containers, roll cages, etc.
Comprehensive management of different types of transport accessories, whether owned or pooled, with individual balance maintenance with suppliers, customers, delivery locations and pool service providers (CHEP, LPR, etc.).
Support for activities related to the packaging and packing of pallets for transport, either manually or mechanically, using PDTs or voice terminals, in order to obtain comprehensive coverage of the time and resources used at each moment and at each stage of the processes.

SHIPPING
Fine tuning of transport planning, with management of the fleet of vehicles associated with each route, control of the loading process for direct delivery or use of transshipments and consolidations, to optimize the filling levels of each vehicle. Issuing of transport documents (delivery notes and carriers documents) and online communication with the tax authorities of the respective countries (Portugal, Angola, and Greece), with the possibility of dematerializing some of the documents.
Support for logistics hubs for the consolidation of goods in transit, to optimize last-mile transport, significantly improving delivery efficiency, reducing costs and increasing customer satisfaction.
Full coverage of all traceability requirements for different types of food products, in order to guarantee the requirements of various quality certification systems, including the demanding International Featured Standard (IFS).
We offer two different approaches to voice solutions; one in partnership with Zetes, where we use Vocollect’s voice recognition engine. Alternatively, we have a partnership with CodeOne, where the voice recognition engine directly interprets XML files, increasing the flexibility of the solution.
Although voice communication was initially used for different execution operations, both in stock and in Just in Time (JIT), taking advantage of the use of both hands for product handling (particularly in frozen operations), it can now be applied to other operations that take place in a warehouse.
In operations where the collection of weights or traceability data is essential, we offer a hybrid solution, combining the reception of instructions and the respective response via headset with data collection using barcode readers (glove readers), in order to reduce errors and ensure the necessary quality of weight and traceability information.
With an average increase in productivity of 20%, the return on investment can be achieved in 6 to 12 months, depending on the size of the operation.
EPED - EVE Print Editor
Print customization solution, highly sought after by logistics operators, with a special focus on the production of labels and delivery notes.
It is an easy-to-use tool that meets customer requirements by maintaining their identity on issued documents, even though the logistics operation is handled by a 3PL or 4PL.
EQA – EVE Quality Assurance
Automatic testing tool that can be used by larger customers to define quality test batteries to be launched automatically, streamlining the work of assessing the possible impacts of implementing new versions of EVE in a production environment.
In order to keep pace with the highly dynamic logistics and supply chain sector, IS.Retail releases new versions of EVE every six months. The use of a tool of this type reduces the time needed to apply the versions in production, while maintaining quality and security guarantees.
ESU – EVE Surveillance
Monitoring system for critical internal application processes, with an alert system, applicable both on-premises and in the cloud, in order to significantly reduce downtime, which is especially important for operations running 24/7.
EVAI – EVE Artificial Intelligence
Machine learning module, where Artificial Intelligence technology is applied to achieve a substantial leap in the quality of different types of estimates used internally by EVE. One of the most important elements in transportation costs is the estimation of volumes to be transported, where the application of AI enables an improvement in estimates from 60% to over 90%.
EVE Mobile
Module for the mobile component of PDT, taking advantage of the graphics capabilities of the new generation of terminals to improve the user experience, facilitate understanding of instructions and reduce errors.
The ability to collect photos associated with specific points in the process enables a qualitative leap in incident documentation, collection of sensitive unencoded data, and management of complaints with suppliers and customers.
