Business Consulting for Logistics and Supply Chain
In order to take maximum advantage of the introduction of new warehouse management software, it is necessary to analyze the existing logistics processes, in order to find the bottlenecks and weak points in each one and therefore achieve a significant improvement of the global performance of the logistics operation.
On a typical project, our team of consultants together with the customer team will define the goals to be achieved to ensure that when the implementation phase starts the process is clear.
Once these goals are established the formulation of the different processes starts such as eliminating redundant tasks, increasing control over critical operations and highlighting potential bottlenecks created by an increase in the movement of goods. During this phase, medium term growth is taken into account, in order to provide a new logistics process with sufficient capacity to respond to future challenges.
The result of this work will form the basis of the configuration of the WPMS, in order to deliver all the requirements generated by the process re-engineering. This is when the WPMS,
shows its flexibility, allowing step by step configuration to ensure that all newly defined processes are taken into account.
Once the WPMS has been configured it will manage the integration of the flow of information and the physical flow of goods, it will provide controls to substantially reduce errors, ensure that operatives can work in a more efficient way and ensures the promised gains in productivity are met through the reduction of pick times and/or the increase in capacity.
